UBPartner delivers full support for the new EBA 4.2 taxonomy

What happened

On 25 November 2025, the European Banking Authority (EBA) released the final technical package for Reporting Framework 4.2.
This release completes the rollout of DPM 2.0 and the updated semantic glossary, improving consistency, comparability, and transparency across EU regulatory reporting.

What’s included in EBA 4.2

BA 4.2 introduces major updates across several reporting modules:

● Full migration to DPM 2.0 and the updated semantic glossary for all domains (except DORA, scheduled for version 4.3).

● Instant Payments reporting for payment service providers (PSPs), including fee disclosures and rejected transaction statistics.

● Updates to resolution planning reporting requirements.

● New Operational Risk (COREP OF) templates under CRR3 / CRD6.

● Changes to the reporting of MREL decisions from national authorities to the EBA.

● Adjustments to market and FX risk reporting for banks using the Alternative Standardised Approach (ASA).

● Introduction and expansion of the new xBRL-CSV reporting format, supporting more efficient, scalable, and machine-readable data submissions across EBA modules.

Why it matters for institutions

● Guaranteed compliance with the latest EU regulatory standards.
● Higher accuracy and consistency thanks to the improved DPM 2.0 data model.
● Optimised data processing and reduced file size through the adoption of xBRL-CSV, enabling faster submissions and easier downstream analysis.
● Reduced manual effort through structured XBRL taxonomies and updated validation rules.
● Lower regulatory and audit risk through up-to-date, regulator-ready reporting files.
